What a time to be alive’ if that is indeed what we do on this piece of rock called earth. I continuously question myself on the meaning of life, why we are her and where we are going. These are questions that many spend their entire life trying to answer without success. Scientist say we are living in an ongoing explosion…the religious say we are working here for treasures above – or below; the spiritual believe this is just a casing for the being, atheist say this is it. So many seemingly varying opinions that have inspired wars, famine, plagues and mankind’s greatest achievement only to find that

life in a balancing act

we are all in this prison together and we must learn to share

This reminds me of a story I was told while i was looking for God. It is the story of blind men who met an elephant on their way back into the village of the Blind. They used their hands to see the elephant – all agreed it was an elephant and hurried back to the village as fast as they could to tell everyone the wonderful adventure. But alas, non could describe the elephant adequately because

You are present for this. Don’t blink otherwise you may miss it. Life is happening all around us, there is almost no excuse not to take advantages of the opportunities presented. Celebrate with those who are celebrating and find joy in the simple pleasures of life. Everyday is a new day and a reason to thankful. Technology has afforded the opportunity to document our lives in real time. Commemorate and document your events for posterity.

EXITS

In memoriam – loving and otherwise. You were here, you saw, you conquered. Now you can rest

In the end, all we have are the memories good, bad and otherwise to escape the existential crises that eventually plague the senses. We know enough to make better decisions as we cannot correct the mistakes of the past. No one may be perfect, but we strive towards perfection. so to those who are still here, make it count; because it wont matter after you are gone…except to those who leave a piece of themselves alive in their offspring, business or community.

THE JOURNEY

So if you are still alive, make the most of it. If you have loved someone, help them live forever and if you are starting something, make it last forever. That way, future generations can get the blueprint of surviving this journey called life, making the best of it, now.
